Double-sided gingerbread mould. Obverse: 4 images of human figures and plant motifs; Reverse: 5 images of infants of various sizes. Double-sided, rectangular mould; on one side four motifs: at the top a female figure in a long, patterned dress with a low neckline, below a basket of flowers, even lower a seated young naked man with long hair sitting among flowers and smoking a pipe, at the feet of the figure a skull with crossbones and the inscription MEMENTO MORI, at the very bottom a wreath woven from leaves and flowers. The other side: five images of infants in patterned swaddling clothes. Province of Silesia 1742–1918. Rectangular form; height 36.5 cm, width 8.8 cm, depth 1.5 cm. Materials: gingerbread mould. Maker, provenance unknown., A long rectangular wooden board lies flat against a pale gray background, its surface showing a natural brown wood color with darker brown carved recesses forming decorative shapes; the board has rounded edges and shows worn areas and subtle scratches in its brown finish, with a few carved relief sections that create textured patterns and raised contours, and the overall scene includes the colors brown and shades of gray.
