Fabric fragment, patterned silk fabrics, fragments of silk damask, pale blue ground brocaded with metal thread in a Bizarre type double-sided. Design in a net-and-strip arrangement with fanciful floral brocaded forms, partially outlined with a sinuous S-shaped brocaded gold line repeated across the report. Motifs include small twigs with unfolded leaves, winged forms, and shell-buds. Colors: blue background, gold and red stitching. Structure: background warp satin, sub-stitching plain weave, stitching with wefts gold and red. Edge width: 0.5 cm. Report width: 17.5 cm. Ca. 1712–1720, France.
