Warp density: 46 per 1 cm; edge width 0.4 cm 4 linen warp threads on the edge. Warp satin in the background 1/5. Early 18th century, Europe ., A rectangular piece of woven fabric laid flat on a dark background, showing a repeating checked pattern with ornate motifs; the cloth displays a palette of muted green, pale blue, light pink, cream, and faded red, with vertical blue stripes and narrower red lines intersecting horizontal cream bands, and areas where the weave and tasselled edges show fraying and wear; a folded-over corner reveals the fabric's reverse with alternating stripes of green and red on cream, and several small loose threads and worn spots are visible across the surface.
