Fragment sewn from two salmon-white damask-type fabrics prominent stripes, differing slightly in pattern and ply width. 1. Damask effect achieved by different colors of warps and wefts. Pattern in mirror symmetry. Tiny blossoms spill out from large blooming peony-type flowers. White taffeta background, salmon pattern — gros de Tours. Large fruit and blooming flowers, lace motifs resembling combs of French needlepoint lace. White taffeta background, salmon pattern — gros de Tours. Overall dimensions: height 98 cm, width 97 cm., A rectangular piece of fabric with a faded floral damask pattern covers the view, showing a background of muted tan and light brown tones with areas of pale beige in the woven motifs and hints of washed-out pink and reddish patches in places; the fabric surface displays a repeating design of stylized flowers and curling leaves in a slightly lighter shade, with areas of wear, small frayed edges, and subtle horizontal creases, all bordered by a narrow selvedge and set against a dark border that frames the fabric.
