Dress - Helena Modrzejewska's stage coat. Coat of black patterned velvet, long, opens at the front, with a semicircular train. Fitted at the top, slightly flaring at the bottom. Very long sleeves reaching to the hem, slit at the top from the shoulder to mid-length, emphasized with a roller. Sleeves and edges lined with black silk, edges trimmed with drawstring. Black fox collar cut into small teeth on the neckline. 2nd half of the 19th century. Europe/United States place of origin uncertain. Women's garment, length 228 cm. Gift; provenance: Modrzejewska, Helena 1840–1909.
