Worn on an oval corselet. a Outer dress manteau open at the front with pleated train at the back. Bodice stiffened with 22 long bonings, laced at front and back under the pleats. Elbow-length curved sleeves finished with double flounces trimmed with silver lace. Constructed from eight panels; quadruple pleats at the back preserve full fabric width, with cuts and fittings only at the front. Silver lace appliqué on the edges echoes the wavy brocade pattern. b Apron of same fabric, hemmed with a wide ruffle and matching silver lace appliqués repeating the wavy brocade motif.
