Adjustable back, tied with a ribbon. 1770s, Silesia; made in France, length 81 cm., A pair of green pants laid flat on a light gray background, with a ribbed or pleated texture running horizontally across the fabric; the waistband area is slightly darker green with a folded-over appearance and has a tied cord at the top, while the legs taper toward the ankles and end with folded cuffs that reveal a patterned inner fabric in muted colors; the green fabric shows subtle variations in shade and some creasing along the seams.
