Habit à la française, tailcoat, striped brown velvet embroidered with fanciful flowers with large stamens and ears of grass. Fitted at the top, widened by pleats at the bottom at the back from the waist down. Long set-in sleeves, cut in an arc at elbow height, finished with cuffs. Fastened with buttons; skirts are cut in an arc, overlapping at the chest. Embroidery along the edges of the pockets, on the cuffs, pocket flaps, collar, and back pleats. The back is cut with a center seam; the back pleats do not overlap. Three buttons under the pocket flaps and on the cuffs. 1780s, Silesia. Garment, length 111 cm., A full-length display of a male mannequin dressed in an ornate historical outfit against a plain light gray background, featuring a dark-colored head and legs, a long brown velvet coat with vertical ribbing and decorative floral embroidery in cream, gold, blue, and muted metallic tones along the front panels and cuffs, a cream-colored embroidered waistcoat with floral motifs visible beneath the coat, brown ribbed knee-length breeches matching the coat, black stockings, and black shoes with strap details, all mounted on a dark rectangular base.
