Men's waistcoat, repossession provenance; 2nd half of the 18th century, Silesia. Pink sleeveless, collarless fitted waistcoat, length 70 cm. Fastens at the neck with ten buttons. Bottom sides have pockets with flaps, three buttons under each flap. Skirts cut diagonally at the bottom. Back to the waist in coarse woolen fabric, from the waist down in cloth. Embroidered decoration like outerwear; fabric-covered and embroidered buttons. Embroidery in white, blue, and green untwisted silk yarn. Fustian lining. Hand-sewn. Ornament: flower bouquets, flowers, garlands; floral ornaments; men's clothing/fashion; waistcoat., A sleeveless reddish-brown vest displayed on a black mannequin torso, featuring decorative stitching and embroidered floral-like motifs in colors including white, yellow, light blue, and green arranged vertically along the front panels and on the lower flaps, with contrasting light-colored piping along the edges and around the small flap pockets, metal buttons down the front, and a visible dark interior lining at the armhole and pocket edges; the background is off-white.
