Zupan from the uniform of the Order of St. Stanislaus. Zupan made of pink and crimson Grodno fabric with stripes and a small floral pattern, long. Fitted at the top, slightly flared at the bottom. Fastened at the front to the neck with haberdashery buttons. High, stand-up collar, adjustable at the back with a buttoned flap. Long, set-in sleeves with turn-up cuffs fastened with hooks. Around the fastener, on the sleeve seams and cuffs, gold-leaf galloon with floral sprigs and baskets. Back of crimson satin, cut with a central column of fabric like a kontusz, widened from the waist on the sides by semi-flared pleats, adjustable at the top with ribbons. Back and lining of white silk satin. Hand-sewn. Zupana fabric; crimson silk grosgrain brocaded with braided gold thread and silk wefts. Gold stripes on a crimson background and miniature sprigs of stylized flowers. Poland, Grodno, 1780s. Gold galloon with a fine floral pattern. Fabric report: sample 5 x 4.5 cm, fabric length 55.5 cm, fabric edge width 0.7 cm. Clothing, national costume, length 125 cm, width at bottom 253 cm., A garment displayed on a black mannequin torso with a high standing collar and an open front placket, made of a patterned fabric with vertical stripes and small floral motifs; the fabric shows shades of peach, beige, gold, green, and muted brown, with decorative trim along the placket featuring embroidered floral designs in faded reds, yellows, and silver tones, and the interior collar lining appears pale gray.
