Dress, Art Nouveau style, late 19th century, Poland, attributed, Women's garment, lightly fitted at the back waist with a small train tail in the form of a minimized bustle. Shallow triangular neckline. Sleeves of uncertain length, slightly raised at the cape, cut in two pieces and ending with six pendants with black rhinestone balls. Fitted back with a 23-hook fastening. Embroidery decorates the edges of the neckline, the caps and bottoms of the sleeves, the cutting lines, and the lower hem of the skirt. Small flat pocket sewn on the left side below the waist. Materials/style details: trains garment, meander ornament. Dimensions: length 163 cm back, circumference 264 cm bottom., A full-length black velvet cloak with a long sweeping train is displayed on a headless mannequin; the cloak has a dark fur collar and fur trim along the front opening, ornate raised patterns in the fabric creating floral and geometric motifs, long wide sleeves with decorative detailing, and the train spreads across the floor showing embossed floral designs in shades of black and deep charcoal against a light neutral background in tones of gray and white.
