Two-piece robe à la française dress made of silk in the colour of dried rose with motifs of colourful flower bouquets and winding white lace ribbons. Overskirt manteau open at the front, with a triple pleat extending almost the entire width of the back that flows into a train. Bodice on linen lace with boning, laced at the front; deep, square neckline. Narrow, elbow-length set-in sleeves trimmed with ruffles of the same fabric. Neckline and bodice edges trimmed with a pleated ruffle decorated with multicolored cord trimmings twisted into tiny flowers. No lining. Skirt gathered with symmetrical pleats, spread out to the sides. Patterned fabric with floral ornaments, ribbons and ruffle decoration. Fabric report: height 24.5 cm, width 48.5 cm; width of fabric piece 54 cm. Dated c. 1760–1765; Silesia; possible origin France. Length 158 cm., A long historical-style dress displayed on a mannequin, shown from a side angle, made of a shiny pale brown fabric with a floral woven pattern; the dress has a fitted bodice with a scooped neckline trimmed with ruffles, long sleeves with gathered cuffs, a narrow waist with a tied sash at the back, and a full floor-length skirt with a short train pooling at the base. The fabric shows a repeated floral motif in colors including pink, green, cream, and muted red, and there are reflective areas where the weave catches light, creating lighter beige and silvery highlights against the overall pale brown. The background is a uniform light gray.
