Upper edge cut off, unsecured. 19th century, Europe, lace, width 12 cm, length 56 cm, A length of delicate lace fabric displayed against a gray background, the lace is an off-white or cream color with a fine hexagonal mesh ground; the lower edge features a scalloped border of embroidered floral motifs with open circular rosettes and leafy sprigs, above which runs a garland of small embroidered flowers and loops, and the upper field is scattered with small embroidered diamond-shaped motifs; there are a few irregular worn areas and a small hole near the top center where the mesh is torn, and the overall texture appears lacy and slightly frayed at the torn and outer edges.
