Vest, 2nd half of the 18th century, Poland. Garment, length 74 cm. Fastened to the neck with 9 covered and embroidered buttons. Side flaps with pockets underneath. Laced canvas back. Floral and geometric ornaments., A sleeveless garment laid flat on a neutral gray background, made of a pale cream fabric with a slightly shiny finish and a lighter cream inner lining visible at the arm openings; the front panels feature a repeated floral embroidery pattern in shades of olive green, muted gold, soft brown, and pale beige with small accents of darker brown and subtle touches of light green, and a vertical trim runs down the center front; the hem has two pointed flaps with additional embroidered floral motifs and decorative borders in the same color palette, and the garment shows stitched seams and a small standing collar in the same pale cream tone.
