Fastened to the neck with 11 covered and embroidered buttons. 1740–1770, Silesia, length 78 cm., A sleeveless garment shown from the back on a black display form, made of a muted reddish-brown outer fabric with a slightly shiny, crinkled texture and darker areas of shading; the sides and lower interior panels reveal a richer magenta satin fabric, and one lower side panel shows a patterned magenta fabric with floral embroidery in a darker tone; the background is a pale light gray.
