Vest, Repossession provenance. Floral and plant ornaments, patterned brocaded silk fabric. Predominant ornamental colors: silver, plum, green, and raspberry. Front of brocaded silk fabric with motifs arranged around the edges. Fastened with 12 buttons embroidered with gold threads. No collar. Side flaps with flapped pockets, three buttons under the flaps as for the closure. Back: bottom and sides of fabric as on the front, but the cut-out pieces are plain without brocade. Cream silk lining. 1740–1760, England fabric possibly, Silesia. Garment; length 74 cm., A sleeveless garment displayed on a black mannequin back with a neutral gray background, made of a light beige fabric overall with paler cream side panels and lower sections; the back center seam shows small round fastenings and stitching details; the lower back splits into two panels revealing triangular lining pieces with floral woven fabric in shades of green, purple, pink, and muted gray; the garment shows subtle variations in beige and cream textures and stitching.
