Vest, floral and plant ornaments, patterned brocaded silk fabric with predominant ornamental colors silver, plum, green, and raspberry. Front motifs arranged around the edges. Fastened with 12 buttons embroidered with gold threads. No collar. Side flaps with flapped pockets, three buttons under the flaps as for the closure. Back: bottom and sides of fabric match front, but cut-out pieces are plain without brocade. Cream silk lining. 1740–1760, England fabric possibly, Silesia, garment, length 74 cm., A single sleeveless garment piece laid flat, made of a light cream fabric with a visible brown inner lining at the armhole, decorated with a woven floral and foliate pattern along one side and the lower flap; the embroidery shows flowers and leaves in colors including green, purple, blue, red, and grey, with a row of fabric-covered buttons along the decorated edge and grey leafy vine motifs scattered on the plain areas.
