Children's dress, 18th/19th century, Silesia. Made of satin with green and cream stripes. Fitted at the top, flared at the bottom, extended at the back by a semicircular train. Bodice is slit at the back and laced. Neckline semicircular with a sharp V at center front. Long sleeves cut in an arc at elbow height, finished with small close-fitting cuffs fastened with covered buttons. Lining of white linen canvas. Unaltered. Length 49 cm., A long garment displayed on a stand, shown from the side, featuring diagonal stripes in green and off-white; the fabric falls into a sweeping train on a neutral gray floor with a pale gray background. The garment has a fitted bodice with a seam at the waist, long sleeves with turned cuffs, and a flared skirt; the stripes on the bodice run more vertically while those on the skirt run diagonally, creating a striped pattern contrast. The visible colors are green, off-white, and various shades of gray in the background and base.
