Children's dress, 18th century clothing, fashion. Children's dress made of satin with green and cream stripes. Fitted at the top, flared at the bottom, extended at the back by a semicircular train. Bodice is slit at the back and laced. Neckline is semicircular with a sharp V at center front. Long sleeves, cut in an arc at elbow height, finished with small close-fitting cuffs fastened with covered buttons. Lining made of white linen canvas. Unaltered. 18th/19th century, Silesia; length 49 cm., A striped dress displayed against a plain pale background, showing a fitted bodice with long sleeves and a full skirt; the fabric has alternating vertical stripes in teal and off-white, with visible seams and gatherings at the waist and a series of tied closures down the back of the bodice, and a dark inner lining seen at the neckline.
