Stole, 18th century, Poland. Woolen fabric with linen lining pink. Liturgical vestment, length 205 cm, width 22 cm. Embroidered along the edges with floral tendrils; ends of the paddles embroidered with equal-armed crosses at the center. Where the paddles merge into the waistband is an embroidered floral rosette motif. Around the edges is an embroidered band with a carp-scale motif imitating gold braid. Dominant ornament colors: white background, yellow, green, pink, and blue., A long, narrow, fabric strip with a textured, wrinkled surface lay across a pale background, forming a loose V shape with two widened, flared ends; the fabric is a tan or beige color with visible weave patterns and slightly darker stitching along the edges, and there are a few small areas of darker discoloration and subtle creases along its length.
