Background with motifs of floral sprigs of various sizes, including tulips, roses, peonies, chrysanthemums, lilies, lilies of the valley, and sprigs with berries and wild strawberries. Embellished with gold galloon. Lining made of plain-weave cotton fabric. Flat embroidery with silk yarn in satin, cord, and banner stitches, as well as gold and silver metal thread in a laid stitch. Silk yarn in red, cream, yellow, blue, purple, white, and green. 18th century, Poland; liturgical vestment, fabrics. Height 52 cm, width 49 cm., A square textile with a cream background bordered by a gold fringe, featuring embroidered floral motifs in shades of gold, pink, burgundy, green, blue, and brown scattered across the surface; a circular embroidered medallion near the center contains a figural scene worked in muted browns, pinks, golds, and greens surrounded by small floral decorations, and the overall fabric shows subtle vertical seam lines and a slightly shiny, satiny texture.
