Velum. Velum made of blue silk fabric. In the center is an applied radiant medallion with the IHS monogram with a cross and a burning heart. In the corners and in the center of each side are traces of torn-out applied flower sprigs. Trimmed with wide silver braid. Linen lining. 18th century, Poland. Liturgical vestment. Height 45 cm, width 46.5 cm., A square piece of fabric with a wrinkled texture fills the image, showing a woven pattern and stitched hems along the edges; the cloth is a beige to light tan color with subtle darker and lighter areas from creases and wear, and there is a small pale patch near one corner that appears lighter than the surrounding fabric.
