Decorative fabric intended for interior furnishings—furniture upholstery, tapestries, draperies suspended from below with surrounding flowers. Colors: beige, brown, pink, red, and white. Post–mid-18th century. Possible places of origin: Beauvais or Aubusson. Fabric; height 57 cm, width 62 cm., An oval textile fragment with frayed edges is mounted on a pale background and partially wrapped with off-white fabric tape; the textile shows a central animal figure bending downward surrounded by floral and foliage motifs, with colors including muted brown, beige, faded green, dusty pink, deep red, and small areas of blue, and the mounted piece displays loose threads and worn areas across its surface.
