Colors: beige, brown, pink, red, and white. Post–mid-18th century. Possibly Beauvais or Aubusson. Fabric. Height 57 cm, width 62 cm., A worn, irregularly shaped textile with a central circular scene showing an animal with slender legs and antlers bending down amid a muted landscape, surrounded by garlands of flowers and foliage; the textile features draped ribbon-like swags at the lower edge and decorative tassel-like elements at the sides. Visible colors include shades of beige and brown in the background, green in the foliage, pink and red in the flowers and swags, cream and off-white in the floral garlands, and small accents of blue. The textile shows frayed edges and areas of wear and discoloration, mounted against a light gray background.
