Tapestry covering, provenance, depicts flowers, floral ornaments, dogs, boys, pastoral scenes; used as interior furnishing, interior decoration, fabric for furniture upholstery; scene on grass with draperies suspended above and flowers around. Colors: beige, cream, green, ochre, blue, and red. Post–mid-18th century; possibly Aubusson or Beauvais. Fabric. Height 71 cm, width 59 cm., A rectangular textile with frayed edges is mounted on a pale background and wrapped with a white cloth border; the central fabric shows a worn tapestry scene in muted beige, tan, brown, and faded green tones with areas of loose threads in yellowish and cream hues and a small patch of dark blue; the tapestry is set against a deep pink or magenta backing visible around its edges; the white cloth border is slightly wrinkled and folded at the corners, and two metal loops are visible at the top.
