Fabric fragment, silk, Krzeszowice Lesser Poland Voivodeship, fragments of silk patterned fabrics with preserved selvedge, 18th-century silk fabric, floral patterns. Silk fabric fragment with white grosgrain background and a small liseré sub-pattern; colorful floral pattern brocaded with threads in white, light blue, blue, dark blue, dark pink, cherry red, apricot, pale red. Sub-pattern: net-like with small motifs; composed of two intersecting, winding ribbons of tiny blue flowers, one ribbon intersected by multi-tiered bouquets of various flowers in blue, plum, yellow-green. Plot width ?, edge width 0.4 cm. Reported dimensions: height 33 cm x width ? also noted height 106 cm, width 27 cm. 18th century, possibly England., A rectangular piece of fabric with a cream background patterned with a repeating floral design; a few clusters of rounded flowers in purple, yellow, and blue are scattered across the surface, connected by winding garlands of small blue leaves and occasional sprigs with green stems and reddish accents; the weave shows a subtle textured pattern in the cream ground, and the edges of the fabric show slight fraying and small dark blemishes against a dark backdrop.
