Most of the fabric has been preserved, missing the right border. In the center, against a forest landscape, a shepherd plays bagpipes while a shepherdess stands beside him with a distaff; sheep graze around them. Border with motifs of flowers, birds, and vases. Colors: blue, sand, brown, green, beige. 17th–18th century, Flanders. Materials: fabric. Height 281 cm, width 200 cm., A large rectangular piece of fabric hangs against a neutral light gray background, appearing tan to light brown in color with visible creases and folds across its surface; the fabric shows uneven texture with a few small darker spots and faint stains, and some areas along the edges display slight fraying and irregular stitching; a row of small metal rings runs along the top edge, and there is a small rectangular patch of slightly different tone near the bottom corner.
