Carpet, The main field is filled with motifs of various species of trees arranged in three vertical rows; between the trees are flower bushes, palmettes, and small rosettes. Seven-strip border with plant ornament. Colors: navy blue, red, yellow, cream, navy blue, blue and red. A similar carpet contains in the central field a section of a similar garden 1/4 with almost identical motifs in reversed colors, dark brown with a navy blue outline on a sandy background. Dated to the 18th century and knotted in northwestern Persia Kurdistan. Cotton warp, S7Z; symmetrical Z2S wool knots, density approx. H27 x W26 ˜702 knots/dm2. Rectangular section contains stylized weeping willows, cypresses, flowering trees pomegranate, lotus palmettes. 19th century, Iran. Height 512 cm, width 430 cm., A rectangular woven rug with a dark blue field densely patterned with a repeating botanical motif featuring stylized trees, branches, and floral forms in shades of beige, cream, tan, muted gold, and light blue, with accents of rust red and green; the central area shows several vertical tree-like elements and cascading leaf shapes arranged symmetrically, creating a layered, allover design. Surrounding the dark central field is a wide ornamental border in warmer tones of rust red, tan, beige, and muted green with floral rosettes and scrolling vine motifs, framed by narrower inner and outer guard borders with smaller repeating patterns in similar colors. The rug rests on a tiled floor in neutral gray and beige tones that form a rectangular background around the rug.
