Church napkin made of white linen, covered with white, partially openwork embroidery. In the center is a large stylized flower tree; on the sides are bouquets in vases. The border at the bottom features a floral tendril motif, fastened at regular intervals with a candelabra motif. Tall vases, flowers stylized in the Eastern style. Late 18th century, Poland. Function: church paraments; materials: fabrics; height 81 cm, width 166 cm., A large rectangular piece of fabric with ornate embroidered patterns lies flat against a smooth background; the fabric is a pale cream color with subtle off-white embroidery in floral and curving ornamental motifs that repeat across its surface, and there are a few small areas where the weave appears thin or worn, revealing slightly darker spots; the background is a uniform light gray, and a small tag in tan and a small piece of white material are visible near one corner.
