Metal threads in gold and silver: cut plate, plate braided on a silk thread, bullion, drawn wire, attached with linen and silk yarn. Embroidery with silk yarn in flat, split, and banner stitch. E. Dimensions: length 90.5 cm, width 18 cm., A long narrow textile strip is shown vertically against a pale background, the fabric appearing dark blue with a worn, velvety texture and frayed edges, embroidered with ornate metallic-gold thread forming a series of decorative motifs including a circular sun-like emblem at the top, flowing scrolls and stylized floral and foliate shapes down the length, and a shield-like heraldic design near the lower section; the gold embroidery contrasts with the deep blue ground and the background is a light off-white or very pale gray.
