Two fragments of a dalmatic, front and back, of silk fabric interwoven with silver thread. The embroidered decoration consists of a floral tendril with tulips, bellflowers, pansies, carnations, daffodils, irises, and roses with species-accurate leaves, alongside golden fantastical flowers with bent stems. Predominant colors: yellow several shades, blue, pink, red, green, and gold. Embroidery: metal thread gilded silver plate woven on a silk base and multicolored silk; gold embroidery executed with a laid flat stitch, metal threads secured with silk yarn; silk embroidery in satin and split stitches. Fabric: silver lamé grosgrain interwoven with silver thread; gauge width 50.5 cm, yellow-red selvedge; density 17–18 weft threads per cm², 14–15 warp threads per cm². Embroidery dated 18th century; fabric dated 16th century. Places of origin: embroidery — Poland; fabric — Italy. Liturgical vestment dalmatic. Length 104.5 cm, width 87 cm., A rectangular piece of fabric with frayed edges and an irregular top edge displaying a decorative floral pattern; the background of the fabric is a pale cream color, and the floral motifs appear in shades of yellow, green, pink, blue, and red with some areas of muted orange and light brown; the design includes swirling leaf and vine shapes along with a group of stylized flowers scattered across the surface; the fabric is laid flat on a plain light gray background.
