Embroidered floral tendril with tulips, bellflowers, pansies, carnations, daffodils, irises, and roses with species-specific leaves, plus golden fantastic flowers with bent stems. Predominant colors: yellow several shades, blue, pink, red, green, and gold. Embroidery: metal thread gilded silver plate woven on a silk base and multicolored silk; gold embroidery with laid flat stitch, metal threads held with silk yarn; silk embroidery with satin and split stitches. Fabric: silver lamé grosgrain interwoven with silver thread, gauge width 50.5, yellow-red selvedge, density 17–18 weft threads/cm², 14–15 warp threads/cm². Dating: 18th century embroidery, 16th century fabric. Place of origin: Poland embroidery, Italy fabric. Liturgical vestment. Dimensions: length 104.5 cm, width 87 cm., A rectangular piece of fabric with a scalloped top edge and frayed bottom edge lies flat against a pale lavender background; the fabric is a light beige or cream color with an ornate embroidered floral pattern in several colors including pink, blue, yellow, green, and gold, showing large stylized flowers and leaves connected by curling vines and decorative scroll motifs, with a few small blue star-like flowers, several tulip-shaped blooms, and a central blue-and-white flower, plus areas of gold-toned thread forming elaborate flourishes.
