Large, narrow laces are sewn on at the bottom edge; the wider one has a motif of flower branches arranged in a twig; the other, narrower one, has a motif of a flower tendril. Width 12 cm, length 61 cm., A horizontal strip of lace displayed against a solid background, showing a delicate openwork pattern with a floral and scroll motif. The lace appears in shades of off-white and cream with subtle variations in tone, and the background behind and below the lace is a smooth gray. The lace has a scalloped lower edge and a slightly uneven upper edge, with a few rows of denser woven bands running parallel to the edges. The overall texture is intricate and airy, with small holes and looping threads forming repeating decorative shapes.
