The background is a point de neige and in the loops are drochelle bows. The contours of the motifs are underlined with thread. Lace, width 3.8 cm, length 30.5 cm., A narrow strip of delicate lace with a repeating floral and geometric openwork pattern lies flat against a neutral background; the lace appears off-white to cream with a slightly textured surface and has scalloped edges and frayed ends, showing a group of small flower motifs connected by a network of fine threads and larger leaf-like shapes, with subtle variations in tone where threads overlap.
