Church napkin. Napkin of white linen canvas edged with a band embroidered with silk and gold thread. Around the edges is a floral and vine motif framed at the top and bottom by a stylized clover ornament. The embroidery is single-sided, pierced; the gold thread on the left side has only a silk core and is unbraided. Dominant colors: magenta and gold. Density: 29 weft threads and 25 warp threads per 1 cm. 17th/18th century, Poland. Fabrics. Height 75 cm, width 63 cm., noted. Church paraments; used in Evangelical church furnishings; sacred art., A square piece of light-colored fabric with a decorative embroidered border; the central area is plain and slightly wrinkled with some faint spots and discoloration. The border features a floral vine motif in shades of pink and gold, forming an inner rectangular frame and an outer margin that mirror each other. The flowers are stylized and repeated along the edges, connected by curving stems and small rounded decorative elements. The fabric edge is slightly uneven and the whole textile rests on a neutral pale background. The visible colors are off-white, pink, gold, and a soft grayish background.
