Fragment of lace, a section of a belt sewn into a closed circle with one-sided arched serrations. Regular ornament: rosettes and points arranged in rows. Mid-19th century, Flanders, lace, width 7 cm, length 50 cm., A rectangular piece of delicate lace with an open netted pattern and floral motifs, laid flat against a gray background; the lace is a creamy off-white color with a scalloped lower edge and a few small loose threads along the top; the netting forms diamond-shaped holes surrounding clusters of rounded floral shapes, and there is a small group of labels attached near the lower center that contrast with the lace.
