Lace fragment, tied in the form of a belt with one-sided arched serrations. Regular ornament: rosettes and points arranged in rows. Mid-19th century, possibly Flanders. Lace; width 7 cm, length 223.5 cm. Maker: Kublicki Piottuch, Alfred 1861–1945., A wide horizontal strip of lace in off-white is laid against a flat gray background, showing a repeating floral-inspired openwork pattern with a network of diamond-shaped mesh; the lace features a scalloped lower edge with small looped picot details and a top straight edge, and within the mesh there are several clustered oval motifs forming flower-like shapes and smaller circular eyelet motifs dispersed throughout, all in off-white contrasting with the gray.
