Place of origin: Flanders. Material: lace. Dimensions: length 200 cm, width 13.5 cm., A horizontal strip of lace with a repeating scalloped pattern is visible against a dark background; the lace is a pale off-white or cream color and features a series of arch-like motifs connected along a straight top edge, each arch enclosing a symmetrical floral or fern-like pendant that hangs down with layered, leaf-shaped elements and openwork details, and the dark background shows through the lace openings creating contrast between the light lace and the deep dark backdrop.
