Fragment of patterned silk fabric with floral motifs, white grosgrain background, pattern brocaded with colorful threads in several shades of blue, navy, turquoise, browns, greens, pinks, reds, silver and yellow. Preserved pattern. Dimensions reported: 40 x 27 cm also listed height 45 cm, width 50 cm. Purchase, A square of fabric with a floral woven pattern lies on a dark background; the fabric has a light beige base with a repeating motif of ornate flowers and leaves in colors including muted pink, dusty rose, yellow, pale blue, seafoam green, olive green, deep purple, and soft brown, with some areas of darker maroon and faded blue; the flowers and foliage form swirling bouquets and clusters across the surface, and there are scalloped ornamental flourishes and feathery leaf shapes interspersed; the fabric edges are slightly frayed and uneven, and loose threads extend from the sides.
