Fragment of fabric, 16th century, Italy. Brocade fragment sewn from several smaller pieces, a ply of fabric with a net composition. In reserves formed by interwoven ribbons are coats of arms Jagiellonian Eagle and bouquets of flowers in vases. Preserved features: patterned fabric with report, preserved ply width and selvedge. Predominant colors: carmine red, yellow, and white; background originally ochre . Height 234 cm, width 56 cm., A rectangular piece of fabric with a repeating ornamental pattern in deep red and muted gold tones, showing a central motif resembling a stylized winged shape formed by the red against the gold background; the textile has an overall textured, worn surface with irregular edges and areas where the gold appears more pronounced or faded, and the pattern consists of flowing, curvilinear shapes and abstract forms distributed across the fabric.
