Initials and coats of arms appliqued and embroidered in shields on yellow damask; features Traby coat of arms, Radziwill family monograms; ca. 1750, Poland; fabrics; height 43 cm min. 27.5 cm, width 205 cm., A scalloped textile panel with a metallic sheen occupies the image, predominantly gold in color with areas of darker, muted brownish-gold forming decorative patterns; the central area shows an oval medallion in a slightly darker tone containing a stylized double-headed bird motif rendered in deep brown-gold, and a small shield-like shape at the bird’s center in a paler, slightly bluish-gray tone; surrounding the medallion are draped, banner-like shapes in a darker brown-gold with subtle floral or brocade textures, and the top edge features a narrow decorative band in darker gold; the lower scalloped border is richly embroidered or embellished in darker brown-gold and gold threads creating floral and geometric motifs, while the background field displays a woven, damask-like pattern in varying shades of gold and muted brown, with visible creases and areas of wear.
