Pattern repeat: 5 x 2.2 cm. 18th century, France, height 28.5 cm, width 21 cm., A rectangular piece of fabric with frayed edges laid flat against a dark background, showing a repeating diagonal lattice pattern of leafy motifs. The fabric appears light gray with the embroidered pattern in a muted gold tone. There are a few small discolorations and faint marks on the fabric surface, and some loose threads along the borders. The background around the fabric is dark charcoal or black.
