Travel armchair, late Baroque type, carved and gilded, with a high flat backrest, on cabriole legs that arc into a wavy-cut lower frame, and with S-shaped armrests whose supports end in a common volute. Trapezoidal seat and backrest cushions reupholstered in red damask imitating large-scale Baroque fabrics. Backrest upholstery is recessed and removable after removing the upper frame, which is mounted on steel pins and decorated with acanthus leaves, a checkered pattern, and a cartouche filled with an acanthus finial. Frame decorated with palmettes and rosettes impressed in chalk-glue; legs framed with a half-cylinder. Hinges connecting front and rear frames are steel, primed and gilded on the outside. Height 175 cm; width 73 cm; depth 64 cm., An ornate high-backed chair with a carved gilded wooden frame and a patterned upholstery in a deep red color; the frame shows gold color with intricate scrollwork and floral carving on the crest, arms, apron, and cabriole legs, and the seat and back are covered in a textured red fabric with a repeating damask-style floral motif against a neutral gray background.
