Chair, rosette ornament, coats of arms, crowns, Baroque style, Prus III coat of arms, CHAIR with spirally turned footrest elements, carved, painted, partly gilded and silver-plated, upholstered seat and backrest, upholstered with embroidery on canvas, supported by four straight legs joined by turned links forming an X link at the bottom. The legs terminate in spools at the top, with spherical feet at the bottom, embellished with plant tendrils in the middle. At the intersection of the binding joints, a cube is topped with a turned pinnacle. The backrest is high and rectangular, with a bell-shaped finial decorated with a closed crown, below with crossed palm branches and acanthus leaves, and with shells in the corners; originally with a gap. The backrest rails are angular. The seat features an embroidered net motif, and the backrest features the Prussian coat of arms on a paludament topped with a crown and jewel leg bent at the knee. 1710–1730, Poland; seating furniture; height 141 cm, width 50 cm, depth 51.5 cm., A tall chair with a high upholstered back and a cushioned seat, both covered in patterned fabric showing floral motifs and a central heraldic design; the upholstery colors include pale blue, cream, red, yellow, pink, and blue. The wooden frame is painted dark green with many gold-painted decorative accents, including carved leafy elements and a crown motif at the top of the backrest. The chair has twisted, spiral legs and stretchers with gold highlights and a central turned finial with alternating dark green and gold bands. The seat edge is dark green wood, and the carved feet are rounded and dark green with gold rings. The overall appearance combines decorative upholstery and ornate carved wood in green and gold with multicolored fabric details.
