Chair, acanthus ornament, Biedermeier style, palmettes ornament. Front legs straight, turned in the form of a baluster; rear legs sabre-shaped. Trapezoidal seat, slightly bulging at the front. Wide side frames framing the seat cushion. The cushion rests on a pine frame, upholstered in green-striped fabric. Backrest composed of angular, S-shaped side stiles, a lower crossbar, and a rounded central board placed between them, narrowed at the bottom, straight in line with the back. Backrest stiles widened in the lower section, ending at the top with a forward-curved volute. Polished frame enriched with woodcarving—acanthus leaves on the upper part of the front legs, antemion and symmetrical S-shaped beams at the bottom of the backrest boards, scrollwork at the ends of the backrest crossbars. 1830–1840, Warsaw, Poland. Height 92.3 cm; width 51 cm; depth 56.5 cm., A wooden chair with a warm brown finish and visible wood grain, featuring a curved backrest with a decorative carved motif in the center and scroll-like details on the sides, a padded seat upholstered in striped fabric with shades of beige, cream, and green, tapered front legs with carved ornamentation and turned lower sections, a straight rear leg on one side and a slightly curved rear leg on the other, and small rounded finials at the top corners of the backrest; the background is plain white.
