Chest, Gothic style, floral and geometric ornament, repossession, pre-war collection, chest with straight sides and front forming console legs at the bottom, with a flat lid, decorated on the pseudo-frame of the front with an engraved decoration featuring a dry thistle motif with a darkened background. Panels and sides are smooth, without decoration. The lid is framed on the sides and front with profiled frames forming the rim. Board walls, back and front are attached to the body, fastened with dowels. Inside, on the left side of the boxes. Steel fittings, secondary — steel lock, applied, without a cup, strap-eye hinges, fastened with forged nails. Date: 1500–1520. Place of origin: Bavaria, Lesser Poland, Central Europe. Furniture; storage furniture. Dimensions: height 80.5 cm, width 159 cm, depth 60 cm., A wooden chest with a hinged top shown slightly open, displaying a worn surface with visible grain and knots; the front has recessed rectangular panels framed by carved borders with a repeating oval-and-arc motif, and the lower apron and feet also feature carved decorative patterns; the wood appears in shades of brown with darker brown weathering and some grayish wear in carved areas; the chest sits on a wooden parquet floor in warm brown tones against a pale off-white wall.
