Trunk, A TUBE in the shape of a cylinder truncated at the base, covered with thick leather and upholstered with four steel straps, fastened with steel heads, with U-shaped handles on the sides of the body. The lid is closed with two hasps, attached to strap hinges. The connection between the body and the lid is protected from water by a leather apron. The side straps on the outside have semicircular cutouts, folded. The interior of the trunk is lined with gray canvas. The lid, when opened, is held on the sides with leather strips. 17th/18th century, Poland, piece of furniture, height 46 cm, width 104.5 cm, depth 51.5 cm., A cylindrical chest with a domed lid made of dark metal with visible rivets and metal bands, showing a worn and slightly textured surface in shades of dark brown and black with areas of dull gray; a few vertical metal straps wrap around the body and lid, each secured with rivets and featuring rectangular metal fastenings, and the piece rests on a smooth light gray background.
