Chair, Biedermeier, mahogany chair with a removable padded seat cushion and board backrest. Front legs straight, turned in the form of a baluster; rear legs sabre-shaped. Trapezoidal seat, slightly bulging at the front. Wide side frames embrace the seat cushion, which rests on a pine frame upholstered in green-striped fabric. Backrest with angular S-shaped side stiles, a lower crossbar, and a rounded central board narrowed at the bottom and straight in line with the back. Backrest stiles widened in the lower section, ending at the top with a forward-curved volute. Polished frame enriched with carving—acanthus leaves on the upper part of the front legs, antemion and symmetrical S-shaped beams at the bottom of the backrest boards, and scrollwork at the ends of the backrest crossbars. Palmettes ornament. Dated 1830–1840, probably Warsaw, Poland.
