Sideboard, pre-war architectural elements, plant decoration. Two-part sideboard with chamfered and concave front corners, wavy front and straight sides; three-drawer base and top closed with double doors; supported on console legs. Veneered with patterned walnut, inlaid with ribbon motifs, polished. Tops of the upper section framed by richly profiled cornices, the upper one with a flat roof and a volute cornice with a central corbel. Top leaves have a wavy design creating a crossbow-like outline, mirrored by the narrow cornice above. Sides of both bodies, doors, and drawer faces are framed with a ribbon and cross-shaped frame. Three shelves not original inside. Construction of both bodies, drawer faces, and door leaves is board-like; back is framed with two panels; bases are board-like. Rims fastened to the sides with wedges. Steel applied locks; single-bolt drawer locks; double-bolt door locks. Steel pintle hinges; single-bolt steel-brass latches. Brass pull-style drawer handles. Brass lock plates, openwork, asymmetrical with acanthus leaves and flowers. Circa 1750, Gdansk; furniture, storage furniture. Dimensions: height 250.5 cm, width 144 cm, depth 65 cm., A large wooden cabinet with a tall upper section and a lower bank of drawers stands against a plain light gray background; the piece shows a warm brown wood grain with darker brown veining and a polished finish, and there are a few ornate brass handles and decorative brass escutcheons on the drawer fronts and doors. The cabinet top has a sculpted, curving pediment with carved scroll shapes and a central raised crest, while the upper doors are recessed panels framed by subtle molding. The midsection has a protruding molded edge above the lower section, and the lower portion features a serpentine front with several drawers arranged in a symmetrical group, each drawer front showing the same brown wood tones and brass fittings.
