Armchair, rococo style, carved and upholstered seat, backrest and armrests, on four cabriole legs ending in turned-out slipper feet, arching into a wavy-cut slightly bulging frame. Seat cushion recessed into the frame rebate on straps. Armrests and supports are S-shaped. Backrest disc-shaped, nearly rectangular, tilted outward with a clearance. Profiled frame elements enriched with carving rosettes on the knees of the legs; on the front frame and horizontal backrest frames a rocaille motif framed by a plant twig and a bird's wing. Tenon joints reinforced with dowels; re-painted with gold paint. Ornament: shells, plant decoration. Rococo armchair, 3rd quarter of the 18th century, probably Italy. Seating piece, height 92 cm, width 70 cm, depth 64 cm., The image shows the back of an upholstered chair with a wooden frame, viewed against a pale gray background. The chair features a light beige fabric backing stretched across the frame, and the exposed wood has a worn, warm brown finish with areas of lighter, faded beige and off-white where the surface appears distressed. The frame includes curved arm supports and cabriole-style legs with rounded feet, and there are small darker brown marks and scuffs on the wood. The overall color palette includes beige, light brown, warm brown, off-white, pale gray, and a few darker brown accents.
